基于非线性极化旋转(NPR)的阈值方案具有阈值功率点低、对色散不敏感等特点,但由于本身结构原因,其输出功率与输入功率成正弦关系,导致阈值性能不稳定。为了改善基于NPR阈值方案的性能,本文提出并实验研究了在输出端加可调带通滤波器(TBPF)的改进方案。改进后的阈值方案稳定了阈值输出功率,提高了阈值性能。同时,改进方案中采用的TBPF能够实现阈值功率传输曲线的调节,可适应不同系统的需求,改变了以往阈值器件因物理结构一旦确定而阈值性能不改变的缺陷。
The threshold scheme based on nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) has low threshold power and is insensitive to chromatic dispersion. However, its output power has a sinusoidal relationship with input power due to its structural factor, resulting in unstable threshold performance. In order to improve the performance of the scheme based on NPR threshold, this paper proposes and experimentally studies the improvement of tunable band-pass filter (TBPF) at output. The improved threshold scheme stabilizes the threshold output power and improves the threshold performance. At the same time, the TBPF used in the improved scheme can adjust the threshold power transfer curve to meet the requirements of different systems and change the defect that the threshold performance does not change once the threshold structure is determined once the physical structure is determined.
