抗氧化剂除了天然生育酚(维生素E)外,还有许多合成的化合品CBHA(丁化羟基苯),BHT(丁化羟基甲苯)和一些没食子酸脂。其中BHA、B-HT 和乙氧基奎等抗氧化剂确有抗化学致癌物的致癌作用,而对某些肿瘤却有促发效应。抗氧化剂何以有抗化学致癌作用尚不清楚,但有确证证明合成的抗氧化剂可诱导致癌物的代谢酶。为抗氧化剂诱导的酶有:葡糖醛酸转移酶、谷胱苷肽转移酶、加单氧酶、环氧化物水解酶、醌还原酶。抗氧化剂能诱导为苯巴比妥诱导的微粒体加单氧酶的生成。对苯并茈的代谢来说,这意味着抗氧化剂
Antioxidants In addition to natural tocopherols (vitamin E), there are many synthetic compounds CBHA (butylated hydroxybenzene), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) and some gallates. Among them, antioxidants such as BHA, B-HT and ethoxyquin do have carcinogenic effects on chemical carcinogens, but have an effect on some tumors. It is unclear why antioxidants have an anti-carcinogenic effect, but there are corroborating evidences that synthetic antioxidants can induce carcinogen metabolic enzymes. Antioxidant-induced enzymes are: glucuronyl transferase, glutathione transferase, monooxygenase, epoxide hydrolase, quinone reductase. Antioxidants can induce phenobarbital-induced microsomal monooxygenase production. For the metabolism of benzodiazepines, this means antioxidants
