“外国语是人生斗争的一种武器”。外语是学生文化科学知识,获取世界各方面信息,进行国际交流的重要工具。早在革命战争年代,我党就十分重视培养外语人才,并为此建立了一些培训机构和学校。新中国建立后,党和政府始终把发展外国语教育作为一项重要工作划入议事日程。目前,全世界科学技术飞跃发展,日新月异。信息通讯技术高度发达,全世界各国人民之间的接触与交流日益频繁,形势的发展对我国外语教育提出的要求比历史上任何时期都高。
“Foreign language is a weapon of life ”. Foreign languages are students’ cultural and scientific knowledge, an important tool for obtaining information in all fields of the world and for conducting international exchanges. As early as the revolutionary war, our party attached great importance to training foreign language talents and established some training institutions and schools for this purpose. After the founding of New China, the party and the government always put the development of foreign language education as an important task on the agenda. At present, science and technology in the world have developed at a rapid pace with each passing day. With highly developed information and communication technologies, the people of all countries in the world have increasingly frequent contacts and exchanges with each other, and the development of the situation has raised the demand for our foreign language education more than any other period in history.
