Patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) have a greater risk of dying of heart disease. This article aims to investigate whether ECG QT and QTc dispersion can predict cardiac death in NIDDM. Of the 182 NIDDM patients, 103 were male and 79 were female, with an average age of (52.8 ± 8.5) years and an average follow-up of (10.3 ± 1.7) years.
