自从去年岁末,我国政府着手制定《21世纪议程》以来,可持续发展问题在学术界迅速升温。中国生态学会,中国地理学会先后开了“生态学与可持续发展”、“地理学与可持续发展”学术大会。今年5月由诺贝尔奖获得者李政道院士、中国科学院院长周光召院士主持召开了“中国环境与发展”学术大会,这个问题在学术界被推到了高潮,因而科学界如何对待可持续发展的问题,也就显得日愈突出了。
