江泽民总书记在全国宣传部长会议上提出的“以德治国”重要思想,是社会发展规律的高度概括,是对我国社会现实的新总结。把依法治国与以德治国紧密结合起来,是我国社会稳定的需要,更是社会经济发展规律的需要。特别是“以德治国”对于加强全社会的精神文明建设,净化社会风气,遏制腐败蔓延具有十分重要的意义。
The important thought of “governing the country with morality” put forward by General Secretary Jiang Zemin at the national propaganda ministerial meeting is a high-level summary of the law of social development and a new summary of the social reality in our country. The combination of governing the country according to law and governing the country by virtue is the need of our country’s social stability and more of the need of the law of social and economic development. In particular, “governing the country with morals” is of great significance to strengthening the building of a spiritual civilization of the entire society, purifying the social ethos and curbing the spread of corruption.
