改革是一场革命。就其任务而言,是要按照社会主义客观经济条件,实现经济体制和经济结构的双重转轨,建立和健全社会主义有计划的商品经济机制,赋予国民经济以活力;就其实质而言,是在社会主义制度下,按照生产力发展的要求,变革和完善社会主义生产关系的深刻革命。改革的目的既不是为维护原有僵化的经济体制,否则便没有必要改革;也不是要否定社会主义制度,否则便不成为社会主义经济体制改革;而是根据中国国情,创造中国特色的社会主义,使社会主义制度在中国不断完善。要正确认识改革的这一本质,必须对改革中出现的种种经济现象从理论上加以认真分析,否则就会对改革的性质产生模糊认识。
