修建数量、长度与时间 铁路隧道数量最多的国家 中国是世界上铁路隧道数量最多的国家,据不完全统计,截至1999年末,建成铁路隧道6125座,总长度为3164公里。其中,有5461座计3008公里隧道,是中华人民共和国成立后修建的。(台湾省隧道因数量不明未计入)。 铁路隧道数量拾“最” 中国铁路上己建成的6125座隧道中,约有97％位于标准轨距铁路上,有80％以上为单线隧道,有70％以上为短隧道(长度为500米以下),有10％以上为明洞。由此,中国也是世界上准轨铁路隧道最多的国家,单线铁路隧道最多的国家,铁路短隧道最多的国家和铁路明洞最多的国家。
