十四届六中全会《决议》明确提出要“大力倡导爱岗敬业、诚实守信、办事公道、服务群众、奉献社会的敬业美德”。敬业精神是推动社会发展和革命事业前进的支撑点,是社会公德意识、人的政治思想素质的具体体现,也是公仆形象的本质特色。敬业精神表现在每个党员干部和职工身上,就是对工作的态度、事业的追求、生活的取向、人生的价值观等等都有一个既定的坐标。具体来说就是兢兢业业,永不苟安;革命至上,无私奉献;力戒骄傲,永不自满;勤奋学习,刻苦钻研;精益求精,质量唯先;一丝不苟,勇挑重担;不怕吃苦,不畏艰险;实事求是,尊重实践;困难留己,方便让人;爱岗敬业,勇往直前。要在全党全社会提倡和发扬敬业精神,最重要、最基本的还是在全体党员、干部和广大群众中树立为人民服务的思想。为人民服务是我们党的根本宗旨,是我们党一贯倡导的正确世界观、价值观。为人民服务这5个字,说起来容易,真正做到并长期坚持却不容易。丁关根同志曾说:“为人民服务”这个思想,概括了共产党人
