經過思想改造運動,科學院的工作人員都認識到學習蘇聯先進科學的必要性。在清華大學創造俄文的突擊學習方法後,全院展開了俄文突擊學習的熱潮。上海長寧路部份在去年九月中旬開了第一班俄文速成班,經過六十餘小時的教課和一百餘小時的自學(半天制),一般的已掌握一千二、三百生字,每小時能閱讀俄文專業書二——五頁。在學習過程中克服了保守思想,盡量縮小文法的範圍,抓住最主要的進行。目前已進行第二班的速成學習。北京部份在去年十月選派六人參加北京大學俄文速成學習(另有數學研究所八人參加北大數學系的俄文學
After the ideological reform movement, the Academy staff recognized the need to learn advanced science in the Soviet Union.
