一、区域条件 (一)区位条件优越 黄石市位于长江中游南岸,为湖北省辖市,面积1850km~2,1986年总人口119.18万。是工业、原材料基地和水陆交通枢纽,为东部沿海先进管理经验、技术优势与内地自然资源优势结合部。随着我国工业布局战略西移,全国工业重点将逐步转到中部地区,为黄石发展提供了优越的区位条件。 黄石市襟江带湖,铁路、公路、水运四通八达。水路凭借长江,上连汉渝,下通沪宁。铁路长途有武(汉)——大(冶)线,武(汉)——黄(石)线,宜(昌)——黄(石)线;短途有黄石——灵乡,黄石——大广山。
