初中生处于青少年时期,从行为心理特征来说,他们心智并未完全健全,对自己的言行不能控制和判断,特别是,他们倾向于追求新潮的、时尚的和个性的事物。流行音乐具有旋律优美、节奏感强、歌词青春活泼并朗朗上口等特点,这极大地符合了中学生的口味。传统音乐教学的单调、无趣等已经不能适应初中生的音乐审美需求,致使初中音乐教学整体学业水平不高。把流行音乐引入到中学音乐教学中,有利于调动初中生的积极性和主动性,从而破解长期以来初中音乐教学活动所面临的难题。
