在宋朝，劄子是封建君主政权下大臣用来参政议政的常用公文。从刘克庄的劄子中，可以看到他对宋理宗时期的弊政在任人、雪冤、恤民等方面提出了不同的政治见解。刘克庄的劄子表现出他为官的刚介风操，更体现了其以天下为己任的政治家风采。
