慈善事业是没有国界的。慈善的本意就是让大同世界,天下所有的民众都能得到温暖和帮助。做慈善人的境界不能说是超凡脱俗,但最起码不能太考虑功利,更不要说欺骗和讹诈了。不过日前在湖北发生的一起捐赠风波,却让人对慈善的理解有了歧义。今年6月底和8月中旬,湖北检验检疫局在对美国 AGAEP基金会向武汉市慈善会捐赠的价值3万美元的两批医疗用品进行检验时,发现这批捐赠物,几乎全部是废品。
