中国光学学会第三届全国集成光学会议于1985年10月15日~20日在上海交通大学召开。出席会议的代表共103名,来自35个单位。本届会议还邀请了三位国际上著名的美国科学家:加洲大学圣迭戈分校的张慎四(William S.C.Chang)教授、圣巴巴拉分校的 J.L.Merz 教授和贝尔实验室的厉鼎毅(Ting-ye Lj)教授,他们分别为会议作了特邀报告。本届会议共交流论文78篇。内容包括:光波导特性分析,光波导性能测量,光波导调制器及双稳态器件,无源光波导器件,半导体激光器和探测器,光纤器件,波导材料及制备等。会议表明了我国对集成光学的研究已达到一定的规模和水平;同时也显出和国外先进水平存在着差距,这主要在于缺乏先进的实验设备,力量分散,研究经费没有保证等原因。会议建议:成立向全国并教的集成光学实验基地,在重视材料、微加工技术和测量等基础研究的同时,注意加强集成光
The Third National Optical Conference of China Optical Society was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University from October 15 to October 20, 1985. A total of 103 delegates attended the meeting, from 35 units. Three internationally renowned scientists from the United States were also invited at the conference: Professor William SC Chang of the University of California, San Diego, Professor JL Mersz of Santa Barbara and Ting-ye Lj of Bell Labs ) Professors, who made separate guest reports for the meeting. This session a total of 78 papers exchanged. Including: optical waveguide characteristics, optical waveguide performance measurement, optical waveguide modulator and bistable devices, passive optical waveguide devices, semiconductor lasers and detectors, optical fiber devices, waveguide materials and preparation. The meeting showed that China’s research on integrated optics has reached a certain scale and level. At the same time, it also shows that there is a gap with the advanced foreign countries. This is mainly due to the lack of advanced experimental equipment, scattered power and no guarantee of research funding. The meeting suggested: the establishment of the national and teach integrated optical experiment base, focusing on materials, micro-machining technology and measurement and other basic research, while paying attention to strengthen the integrated light
