As early as 1942, Comrade Mao Tse-tung’s speech at the Yanan Forum on Literature and Art clearly pointed out: Our literature and art is for the general public and above all for the masses of workers, peasants and soldiers. The military literature and art work has followed this correct direction and flourished. From the early days of the founding of our army, the party’s political and military work in the establishment of the people’s army at the same time, the military’s literary and artistic work has become an important part of our military’s political work.
