Zheng Zhengqiu’s film activities began in 1913 with Zhang Shichuan co-director of China’s first short story, “The Wife”, until July 16, 1935, died in Shanghai for a total of 22 years. The era in which he lives is exactly an era in which the social changes in China, the overlapping of old and new ideas, the collision of Chinese and Western cultures, the drastic social turmoil, the unpredictable political context and the gloomy future of the nation and nation throughout the twentieth century. Therefore, scholars like Zheng Zheng-qiu, Bao Tian-xiao and Zhou Shou-juan, who are old and new, are bound to be completely different from the new-style intellectuals influenced by the Western culture in the New Culture Movement
