This paper introduces the general situation of the Salto Sea animal husbandry diversion project in the Qinghai River, as well as the occurrence of active faults in the construction and elaborates the design principles and specific contents of the project. Practice has proved that the measures taken to build water conservancy projects in the active fault zone are feasible.
