The current era of rapid development of information technology, computer multimedia technology in education and teaching has been commonplace. This article briefly analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of metalworking practice, and summarizes the effective application of CAI technology in metalworking practice, and puts forward the related issues that need attention. Metalworking practice is a compulsory practical course in student learning at institutions of higher learning. The course focuses on students’ practical skills training, consolidating the professional knowledge of students, while also cultivating their ability to use their professional knowledge in practical operations and solving practical problems
