In this paper, 427 patients with clinically diagnosed hypertension, type II diabetes, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, liver cancer, portal cirrhosis and other patients total serum cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) HDL-C and subclass (HDL2-B HDL3-3), LDL-C and VLDL-C and their ratios were analyzed. The results showed that the abnormalities of TC, TG and HDL-C were 68.2%, 56.2% and 64.6% respectively in the above three kinds of diseases. The HDL2-C and HDL3- C and related indicators of the ratio of 84.7%, 87.5%, 85.8% of patients showed lipid metabolism disorder. Therefore, the ratio of HDL-C and subclasses to TC, TG, etc. is a sensitive indicator for understanding lipid metabolism disorders. In addition, the concentration of HDL3-C in serum of patients with liver cancer and cirrhosis is positively correlated with the ratio of cholinesterase and protein, which may be an index to judge the status of liver function.
