I have read many surveys on the life expectancy of Chinese companies. There are different opinions. One thing is certain that they do not last long. In Beijing’s Zhongguancun Science Park, in 1995, large-scale enterprises, by 2003, only 38.5% survived and other companies ceased to exist. Only 22.9% of the enterprises that survived were still in the forefront of the larger scale of the park. Most of the companies scaled down, and 2.1% of the enterprises entered the list of the smallest net assets enterprises in Zhongguancun. According to the report of the Ministry of Commerce, the average life span of Chinese companies is 7.3 years. According to China’s first “Private Enterprise Development Report” Blue Book statistics, there are 150,000 new private enterprises in the country each year, and at the same time, more than 100,000 companies have died; 60% of private enterprises are bankrupt within 5 years; 85% are private The company died within 10 years and its average life span was only 2.9 years. Lang Xianping asserted that the average life expectancy of Chinese companies is only 3 to 5 years. What is the reason that most Chinese enterprises have not died during their infancy?
