只要一提到造桥,人们马上就能想到茅以升,他是我国现代化桥梁的泰斗,闻名世界的科学家。茅老在世时,我曾多次访问他。他平易近人,和蔼可亲,无论谁去访问他,他从不拒绝。这位才高德劭的老人,值得我们永远缅怀与学习。幼小的心灵已种下桥梁的种子茅以升幼小时就好奇心很强,他的家庭有着很好的学习环境。有一次登门拜望,我问他:“听说您很小时就有机会看报纸,这在当时可很难得,是吗?”
