The differences between Chinese and western cultures are manifested in many aspects such as word meaning comprehension and verbal communication. The conflict between Chinese and Western cultures is a major obstacle for senior students to improve their English. For senior students to rapidly improve their English reading and listening skills, they must work hard to understand the cultural background of English societies.
