高炉炉身寿命是高炉中修的重要依据之一。目前在炉缸和炉底寿命延长的情况下,炉身寿命就成了高炉结构中最薄弱的环节。表1列出鞍钢四座高炉炉身寿命及结构特征。由表1可见,不同的高炉炉身寿命是很不一样的。最短的只有9个月(9高炉第三代),最长的可达13年零4月(4高炉第五代)。为何炉身寿命有如此大的差别呢?主要决定于高炉的工作制度和炉身结构。这二者如能好的结合,在炉身下部形成一层保护性
