在低速语音编译码系统中,常采用码本激励线性预测编码CELP,其中随机码本的码本结构及相应的搜索算法直接影响着语音编译码系统的语音质量和实时实现中的运算量.本文给出了一种新的低速语音编译码方法──小波激励线性预测编码WELP,用三个小波码本代替CELP中的随机码本,从而大大降低了语音编码的复杂度.该方法用于6.6kb/S语音编译码器中,可在保持相同合成音质的条件下,使WELP的编码运算速度比相应的CELP提高一倍.
In low-speed speech coding and decoding system, code-excited linear predictive coding (CELP) is often used. The codebook structure of random codebook and the corresponding search algorithm directly affect the voice quality of the speech codec system and the amount of computation in real-time implementation. This paper presents a new low-speed speech coding and decoding method ─ ─ WELP WELP, using three wavelet codebook instead of random codebook CELP, thus greatly reducing the complexity of speech coding. This method, which is used in 6.6kb / s speech codec, can double the WELP encoding speed over the corresponding CELP while keeping the same synthesized speech quality.
