《士兵之歌》是苏联电影史上的一部重要作品。该片问世后,多次在国内外获奖。一九六○年影片在全苏电影节上荣获一等奖;一九六一年本片编剧瓦·叶若夫和格·丘赫拉依获“列宁文艺奖金”;并先后在法国、捷克斯洛伐克、美国电影节获奖;还在日本、希腊、英国、波兰等国获奖。在苏联上座率很高,仅列宁格勒“泽尼特”电影院就连续上映二百二十五天。据统计,在世界七十多个国家上映过。 这部影片虽说没有曲折的故事情节,不是戏剧结构,而是散文结构。但由于影片真实地反映了战争时期苏联国内情况,描绘了各种各样的人,既有钢,也有渣。加上影片导演丘赫拉依的处理细腻,能以情感人;演员表演自然、纯真。故很受欢迎。据作者声称:“四分之一世纪以来,《士兵之歌》的银幕生命力不衰,我至今还常收到这部影片的观众来信。”
