因为美国陆军要把地基通用传感器(GBCS)系统转为“预言家”情报与电子战计划,故陆军在修订GBCS作战需求文件(ORD),ORD中有关概念变化的详细内容正在初露端倪.“预言家”的前身情报电子战通用传感器(IEWCS)是由三大系统构成的:轻型地基通用传感器(GBCS-L),重型地基通用传感器(GBCS-H)和EH-60L“先进快定”(AQF).IEWCS装备是设计来为前线部队提供探测和截获敌方通信与雷达信号,并实时或近实时地瞄准这些辐射源的能力.其中GBCS-L在今年8月完成了研制性和作战适应性试验(见本刊1998年第5期第43页的报道——编者注).第82机载联队的操纵人员参加了试验,虽然该系统不能满足GBCS ORD,但第82机载联队还是同意接收该装备,只作稍许的改进以满足应急的作战需求.
