用~(60)Coγ射线诱变陆地棉辽棉9号,按系谱法选育出品系中沪植PI 935(简称PI 935),它不仅具有原品种的良好性状(生育期、絮棉色泽、耐旱)而且比原品种衣分增高6个百分点,而纤维长度不减短、强度不降低,皮棉产量较高。在新疆南部经4年9个试验点次鉴定和区域试验,PI 935比对照品种(军棉1号或新陆中5号)衣分平均增高10个百分点,皮棉产量多点次持平,生育期比对照品种平均晚近5天。PI 935已收入国家作物种质资源库[统一编号ZM 114274,品种(系)名称:中沪植PI 935]。
