爱心学校位于昆山市马鞍山东路188号,直属于昆山市教育局,听障和智障两类残疾少年儿童是学校的主要教育对象.目前在校学生150人,在职教职员工42人。学校创办于1973年,是江苏省创办最早的县级特殊教育学校之一。近年来.学校在全面实施免费义务教育的基础上,积极推进义务教育向学前教育、高中教育延伸工程,基本形成了涵盖学前教育、九年义务教育、职业高中教育的特殊教育体系,为昆山在全省率先普及残疾儿童少年15年免费教育奠定了扎实基础。
