Last year from October 19 to 22, the Chinese Academy of Arts, Fujian Provincial Institute of Art, Quanzhou Cultural Bureau, held in the historic and cultural city of Quanzhou ’96 China South Opera International Symposium. More than 70 renowned opera researchers and relevant leaders from the Central Art Research Institute, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Taiwan, the province and the United Kingdom attended the event. The meeting received a total of nearly 30 papers submitted by Chinese and foreign scholars.
