Aiming at the current problems in personnel development of integrated Chinese and Western medicine (ICWM), Prof. CHEN Kai-xian, a CPPCC member and the president of the China Association of Integrative Medicine, put forward that one or two ICWM Colleges should be constructed or reconstructed. ICWM has been gradually becoming a unique advantage in Chinese medical system and made great contributions to the healthcare undertaking in China during the past several decades.
