At the invitation of Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute, Sinosteel and the Commercial Times, Zhou Guangzhao, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, went to Taiwan to attend the cross-Strait Industrial Technology Symposium held in Taipei on January 15-18, 1994. Along with Zhou Guangzhao’s visit to Taiwan, Well-known experts and the director of the Institute of Metals, Metallurgy, Applied Chemistry and others, and 24 technicians from major steel companies such as Shougang, WISCO, Baosteel, Panzhihua Iron and Steel, Anshan Iron and Steel, and Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
