10月15日至18日,中国共产党第十七届中央委员会第六次全体会议在北京举行。全会由中央政治局主持。中央委员会总书记胡锦涛作重要讲话。全会听取和讨论胡锦涛受中央政治局委托作的工作报告,审议通过《中共中央关于深化文化体制改革、推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣若干重大问题的决定》。全会审议通过《关于召开党的第十八次全国代表大会的决议》,决定党的十八大于2012年下半年在北京召开。
From October 15 to October 18, the 6th plenary session of the 17th CPC Central Committee was held in Beijing. The meeting is run by the central government. Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee, made an important speech. The plenary session heard and discussed the work report commissioned by Hu Jintao on behalf of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and examined and approved the Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Important Issues concerning Deepening the Reform of the Cultural System and Promoting the Great Development and Prosperity of Socialist Cultures. The plenary session reviewed and approved the “Resolution on Holding the 18th National Congress of the Party,” and decided that the 18th CPC National Congress should be held in Beijing in the second half of 2012.
