钇是稀土元素之一,它在地壳中的含量约为2.8×10~(-3)%,与锌、锡、钴、铅的含量差不多。在稀土元素中,它的含量仅次于铈,而居第二。随着生产技术的发展,它在轻合金,特别是在变形镁合金中的应用越来越多。工业上生产的钇的纯度一般不小于93.4%,其主要杂质是其他稀土元素,含量:<3.8%,钙<1.6%;铁<0.05%;铜<0.1%;钽或钨<1%。也可生产纯度不小于99.8%或更纯的钇。高纯钇中的主要杂质仍是稀土元素。
Yttrium is one of the rare earth elements. Its content in the crust is about 2.8 × 10 -3%, which is similar to that of zinc, tin, cobalt and lead. In rare earth elements, its content is second only to cerium, and second place. With the development of production technology, it is more and more used in light alloys, especially in deformed magnesium alloys. The purity of yttrium industrially produced is generally not less than 93.4%. The main impurities are other rare earth elements, the content is less than 3.8%, calcium is less than 1.6%, iron is less than 0.05%, copper is less than 0.1%, tantalum or tungsten is less than 1%. Yttrium can also be produced with a purity of not less than 99.8% or more pure. High-purity yttrium in the main impurities are still rare earth elements.
