容存空间和基准面的概念对于认识和阐述盆地形成、沉积物产生和迁移及沉积物堆积等基本过程沉积响应动力学是充分和必要的。这两个概念对确立高分辨率层序地层对比是必不可少的,这是因为它们之间的不断相互作用产生地层记录的基本结构单元。代表基准面升降旋回不同部分的基本结构单元被冠以“成因层序”、“成因地层增量(GIS)”、“沉积幕”、“间断加积旋回(PACS)”、“准层序”、“中旋回层(mesothems)”、“变细旋回”和“变浅旋回”等不同的名称。容存空间和基准面概念对于描述、解释和预测地层结构、相域体积配分、储层非均质性与相分布、以及由多种动力学过程的相互作用而产生的相的岩石物理性质等都是有用的。
The concept of storage space and datum is sufficient and necessary to recognize and explain sediment response dynamics of basic processes such as basin formation, sediment generation and migration, and sediment accumulation. These two concepts are essential for establishing high-resolution sequence stratigraphic correlation because the constant interaction between them produces the basic structural unit of stratigraphic record. The basic structural units that represent different parts of the rising and descending cycles of the datum are labeled with “genetic sequence”, “genetic formation increment (GIS)”, “sedimentary curtain”, “intermittent cyclic accretion (PACS) ”, “ Quasi-sequence ”, “ mesothems ”, “ thinning ”and “ shallowing ”and other different names. The concept of containment space and datum for describing, interpreting and predicting the formation structure, volume fraction of phase domains, reservoir heterogeneity and phase distribution, and petrophysical properties of facies resulting from the interaction of multiple kinetic processes All are useful.
