Since 1982, the United Kingdom has combined the design of the bridge has been using the limit state method. At present, this method has been adopted by most European countries. In general, the design is based on the destruction of the limit state, but the results show that the true damage intensity is generally higher than the design value. This is part of the reason why it is difficult to draft design specifications entirely with the current theory. It is foreseeable that, over time, damage to the interior of the beam will result in a gradual decline in safety reserves, which may eventually pose a greater threat to the safety of some bridges than any foreseeable overload. An effective way to improve the current norm is to compare the data of the research with the experience of practice.
