中共桦南县委、桦南县人民政府于12月14日至15日召开了桦南县农民教育工作会议。会议,传达、贯彻全国全省扫盲工作会议精神,表彰了在扫盲工作中成绩卓著的63个先进集体和241名有突出贡献的各级领导干部和扫盲教师,研究部署了1991年的工作。会上,副县长作了题为《开拓进取、勇闯难关、大力发展农民教育》的报告。在报告中肯定了1990年全县扫盲和实用技术培训,农民初、中等教育取得的成绩。提出了今冬明年要完成四项工作:一是适应农村社会发展需要,高标准高质量地扫除剩余文盲。全县扫除文盲3000名,使文盲率下降到2%以内。二是积极开展以知识青年为重点的实用技术培训,全县组织17000名知青参加“燎原之冬”活动,其中1700人参加长期班学习。三是抓紧抓实农民初等教育工作。组织30周岁
CPC Huanan County Committee and Huanan County People’s Government held a meeting on peasant education in Huanan County from December 14 to December 15. Meeting, communicating and carrying out the spirit of the provincial conference on literacy work throughout the country, commended 63 advanced collectives who have made outstanding achievements in literacy work, 241 leading cadres and literacy teachers at all levels with outstanding contributions, and studied the deployment of 1991 work. At the meeting, the deputy magistrate made a report titled “Enterprising, Enterprising, and Developing Farmers’ Education.” In the report, we affirmed the accomplishments of literacy and practical technical training in the county in 1990 and the primary and secondary education of peasants. Proposed four tasks to be completed this winter: First, to meet the needs of rural social development, and to eliminate the remaining illiterates with high standards and high quality. The county to eliminate illiteracy 3000, the illiteracy rate dropped to less than 2%. Second, we should actively carry out practical technical training focusing on knowledgeable youth. The county organized 17,000 educated youth to participate in the activity of “prairie fires”, of which 1700 participated in long-term study.
