德兴市,位于江西省东北部,素有“铜都”、“银城”、“金山”之美誉,取“山川之宝,惟德乃兴”之意而定名。总面积2101平方公里,辖12个乡镇和大茅山省级经济开发区,总人口31万,1990年12月撤县设市。近年来,德兴市贯彻落实科学发展观,立足资源优势,调整产业结构,发展社会事业,呈现出政通人和、经济繁荣、社会稳定的可持续发展态势。
