《简·爱》是19世纪英国著名作家夏洛蒂·勃朗特的最富盛名的代表作。自小说发表以来,各界曾试图从不同视角对这部小说进行解读。从概念隐喻的视角去解读《简·爱》是将概念隐喻的框架运用于文学作品分析的一种新的尝试。在解析的过程中不难发现,这部小说蕴含着丰富的概念隐喻。其中,最具典型意义的就是Life is a journey(生活是旅途)。女主人公简·爱在走过了一段崎岖坎坷的人生道路之后,最终战胜了世俗的偏见,收获了真爱和属于自己的幸福生活。将认知语言学的理论与文学作品的结合会给《简·爱》的解读带来新的研究视角,并产生一些有益的启示。
“Jane Eyre” is the most famous representative of Charlotte Bronte, a famous British writer in the 19th century. Since the publication of the novel, all walks of life have tried to interpret this novel from different perspectives. Reading Jane Eyre from the Perspective of Conceptual Metaphor is a New Attempt to Apply the Framework of Conceptual Metaphor to the Analysis of Literary Works. It is not difficult to find in the process of analysis, this novel contains a wealth of conceptual metaphors. Among them, the most typical meaning is Life is a journey (life is journey). After the heroine Jane Eyre walked through a rough and bumpy road of life, she eventually defeated the secular prejudices and harvested true love and her own happy life. The combination of the theory of cognitive linguistics and literary works will bring a new research perspective to the interpretation of Jane Eyre and produce some useful enlightenments.
