Vibration characteristics of sucker rod column The natural frequency of sucker rod column is the most important single factor that affects oil pumping performance. Both the pumping unit and the pump cause the column to vibrate. The size of the vibration depends on the vibration frequency and the natural frequency of the sucker rod. Higher harmonic frequencies are also important in the analysis.
