一个世纪以来,中国美术在发展中一直是以西方艺术为参照的,这不仅包括 以舶来艺术为主的油画界,也包括以本土艺术为主的国画界。画种的引入及西方 美术对中国画的渗透促使一大批中国画家走出国门学习深造。事实上,在出国深 造过程中,从美术作品原作中汲取艺术营养是学习西方美术不可或缺的重要内 容。但是有机会出国深造的人毕竟是少数,对于那些没有机会出国的画家来说, 除了参考画册外,难得的来华美展便是他们学习西方艺术的饕餮大餐了,这也是 在国内能见到西方美术原作的唯一机会。因此,每逢国外美展,中国的画家都会 以激动的心情仔细地欣赏每一张作品,眼神中流露着欣羡与渴望。正因如此,每 次的外来展览都对中国画坛和画家产生着不小的震动。
For centuries, Chinese art has always been based on Western art in its development.
