文化背景及社会习俗是一门语言赖以生存的土壤。各民族之间的文化差异是他们沟通和交流的障碍。语言学习也是如此。毫无疑问,任何一门语言的文化背景知识对于一段对话、一篇文章乃至一本书的阅读理解都是相当重要的。笔者以为,这些也正是学习一门外语的乐趣所在。高涨的学习兴趣有助于调动学生的学习积极性。兴趣是最好的老师,在非智力因素中,兴趣是最重要的一个组成部分,也是可转化的有效因素。
Cultural background and social customs are the soil upon which a language lives. Cultural differences between peoples are an obstacle to their communication and exchange. The same is true of language learning. There is no doubt that the cultural background knowledge of any language is very important for a dialogue, an article and even a book reading comprehension. I think, these are also the fun of learning a foreign language. High interest in learning helps to motivate students to learn. Interest is the best teacher. Among the non-intellectual factors, interest is the most important part and also an effective factor that can be transformed.
