僧欣造像记保留了较多的书写意味,有北凉、北魏时期的写经书法之韵致。北魏僧欣造像记《北魏僧欣造像记》,全称《比丘僧欣造弥勒像题记》,北魏太和二十三年(499年)十二月刻。出土干河北房山。高79cm,宽54cm。正书,8行,行10至12字不等。曾归会稽谢伯殳。旧时代文人拓魏造像,因佛像在龛内,捶拓不便,多只拓造像铭,不拓佛像。《僧欣造像》的佛像为浅浮雕,所以佛像及铭记均被完整拓出。佛龛正中为弥勒佛,庄严肃穆,上有幔帐,两边为束起的边幕,下为铺织毯的台座。左右还有二佛像,一执拂,一执壶,体态优美。此组佛像为北魏造像中的精品。
