今年八月我来北京大学参加外国汉语教师研修项目,这次为期一个月的研修除了语言类学习外,还开设了文化交际类的科目。这里想跟大家分享一下跨文化交际课上热烈讨论过的来京的一些新感受和印象特别深刻的事情。它们打破了我之前对中国的一些看法。这十几年来我几乎每年都来中国。每次来华也都会听到一些类似“当代中国为什么不像以前以‘德’为中心,而是以‘钱’为中心”的抱怨。这次来北京之初我跟北京朋友去了798艺术区。艺术区画廊里有几个以农村儿童为题材的小塑像,叫做“我
In August this year, I came to Peking University to participate in the training program of foreign Chinese teachers. In addition to language classes, this one-month training program also opened courses on cultural communication. Here I would like to share with you some of the new experiences and impressions that have been intensely discussed in the intercultural communication class. They broke some of my previous views on China. I have come to China almost every year for more than a decade. Every time I come to China, I also hear some similar complaints about why contemporary China is not centered on ’virtue’ but on ’money’. This time I came to Beijing, I went to the 798 Art Zone with my friends in Beijing. In the art district gallery there are a few small statues of rural children, called ”Me."
