Th17 cells and regulatory T cells (Tregs) are subsets of T cells that have opposite effects. Their balance is conducive to maintaining a stable immune state and plays an important role in inflammatory diseases. Under inflammatory conditions, Tregs can be converted into Th17 cells. The increase of Th17 cells, the significant decrease of Tregs or the decrease of their inhibitory functions lead to the imbalance of Th17 / Tregs leading to the occurrence and development of inflammatory diseases. Th17 cell / Treg balance disorders have become a new hot spot in the field of inflammatory diseases. This review summarizes the basic functions of Th17 cells and Tregs, the relationship between the two and their mechanisms, and the relationship between Th17 cells / Tregs and inflammatory diseases, and provides new information for the early diagnosis, prognosis and immunotherapy of inflammatory diseases Train of thought.
