“我的人生梦想就是通过遗传改良提高玉米的产量和品质,为人们的美好生活、为国家的粮食安全尽份力,以实实在在的成果让广大的种田农民受益.”这就是严建兵做事的初衷和梦想.rn最好的舞台在我的国rn1995年,农家子弟严建兵考入华中农业大学生科院生物技术基地班,8年后他博士毕业,去中国农大任讲师.2006年10月,严建兵从100多位应聘者中脱颖而出获得国际玉米小麦改良中心(CIMMYT)和康奈尔大学联合招聘的博士后位置.本是3年合同,2年未到,中心决定提前聘他为“副科学家”,10个月后,他又被聘为“科学家”,而这个过程对于他人通常需要5-6年.
