“油画”作为一个西方画种传入中国的时间已逾百年,具体传入新疆的时间要稍晚一些,而形成为一种庞大而繁复的“艺术现象”则是近几十年的事情。在探讨新疆油画当代性因素的过程中,我们所用的艺术史眼光会同实证衔接起来,这是因为艺术史也并不单纯就是人文学科的历史,更不是观念的历史,它有着真实的风格来源与价值判断。在新疆地域文化语境下产生的油画作品的当代性因素确立了新疆油画的图像语言、绘画技法、创作题材图式的真实特点,
