高职院校开设各类专业英语课程的目的是为了提升生产一线所需要的高级技术应用型人才不断学习的能力,使其能够跟上信息时代知识发展的步伐。在全球化的背景下,用人单位对于学生的专业英语能力有了更高的要求,学生在掌握专业知识的同时,也需要具备较高水平的专业英语能力以适应日益复杂而多变的工作需求。目前大多数的高职院校专业英语教学均存在一定的问题,专业英语课程的教学未能取得理想的教学效果。本文结合教师自身的专业英语教学经验,对专业英语课程的教学改革提出几点建议,以期能提高专业英语课程的教学质量。
The purpose of setting up all kinds of specialized English courses in higher vocational colleges is to enhance the continuous learning ability of advanced technical and practical talents needed in production frontline so that they can keep up with the pace of knowledge development in the information age. In the context of globalization, employers have higher requirements for students’ professional English ability. Students also need professional English skills to meet the increasingly complicated and changing work needs while acquiring professional knowledge . At present, most of the professional English teaching in higher vocational colleges have some problems, teaching of professional English courses failed to achieve the desired teaching effect. Based on teachers’ own experience of professional English teaching, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the teaching reform of professional English curriculum in order to improve the teaching quality of professional English courses.
