重庆地处中亚热带,气候温和,年平均气温17.8℃,十月平均气温6.8℃,7月最高温37.6℃,年雨量1125毫米,5—6月间葡萄花期雨量偏多,对开花座果不利,7—8月间葡萄成熟期适为干旱季节,同时因海拔较高,光照好,对葡萄浆果成熟极为有利。但长期以来重庆的葡萄栽培终因高温多湿等不利条件和品种与栽培技术不当而未能大面积发展。为了发展重庆市的葡萄生产,市经委、科委于1984年下达了“葡萄无架丰产栽培”
Chongqing is located in the subtropical zone with mild climate with annual average temperature of 17.8 ℃. The average temperature in October is 6.8 ℃. The highest temperature in July is 37.6 ℃. The annual rainfall is 1125 mm. Rainfall is heavy during the flowering period from May to June, which is unfavorable to flowering fruit , July-August grape ripening season is suitable for the dry season, at the same time due to higher altitude, light, fruit ripening is extremely beneficial to the grape. However, for a long time, the viticulture in Chongqing has long failed to develop in a large area due to unfavorable conditions such as high temperature and humidity and improper varieties and cultivation techniques.
