Qingdao Lidong Chemical Co., Ltd.will build an aromaticsplant in Qingdao, Shandong province, following the approvalby the National Development and Reform Commission.The new plant, located at Qingdong Economic and TechnologyDevelopment Zone, will have capability of producing 630000 tons of p-xylene (PX) per year.PX has wide applications in manufacture of polyester fiber,plastic, and medicine and construction industries.Qingdao Lidong is a 60 : 30 : 10 joint venture between KoreanGS Aromatics, Oman Oil Company and China’s HongxingOrganic Co., Ltd. Qingdao Lidong Chemical Co., Ltd.will build an aromaticsplant in Qingdao, Shandong province, the following the approval by the National Development and Reform Commission. The new plant, located in Qingdong Economic and Technology Development Zone, will have capability of producing 630,000 tons of p- xylene (PX) per year.
